On Monday afternoon, April 16^th, at 7:00pm Swiss violinst Sunita Abplanalp will bless our congregation with a beautiful concert of Bruch, Beethoven, De Falla and Massenet.  Her piano accompanist will be world-renowned musician and founder of the successful Artist Series of Sarasota, Lee Dougherty-Ross.         

Sunita began her study of the violin at the Suzuki school in Meggen, Switzerland at age 5 and became a special student of Vedran Brkanovic in the summer of 2004.  Since 2007, Sunita rapidly progressed under the direction of Ina Dimitrava at the Lucerne College of Music.  She has won countless competitions in Switzerland and the United States.  Today at age 16, Sunita concertizes throughout Europe and the United States.   

Lee Dougherty earned degrees in voice and piano from the Eastman School of Music. Her career as a soprano and pianist has taken her to every major venue throughout the United States and Europe. Miss Dougherty toured as a featured soloist with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians.  Lee and her husband, Jerold, co-founded the Artist Series of Sarasota in 1996 wherein they present internationally known and emerging young artists in concerts.  

It is an honor to host Sunita Abplanalp and Lee Dougherty-Ross for this concert.  A reception will follow the performance for you to personally meet and greet them.

This is not a ticketed event.  A free will offering will be collected at the close of the concert.  Please encourage family and friends to attend this special event!
